PluggedIn, a High Definition Music Video Website

This morning I decided to register and create a profile at PluggedIn.com. The buzz has sparked my interest a little bit. Of course the site is in beta, but from what I have experimented with has been pretty decent so far. I know there are countless video sites out there, but I gotta say that there are very few that I am pleased with. I believe this site has a lot of potential. In fact, you should sign up and hook up your profile with mine. Registration was extremely fast and easy, something I like.
PluggedIn.com is a site launched by Will Smith and his entertainment group Overbrook Entertainment. The videos are HD, and all have been fantastic from what I’ve seen so far. If major label artists don’t appeal to you all that much, this may not be for you, since the main focus is on major artists from what I can tell. So you won’t find your favorite indie band’s videos here.
Each artist’s profile will have photos, a bio, download options, etc available. From what I can tell the biographies are scraped from other places like AMG and Wikipedia. I don’t know if that’s going to be permanent, or if other customization will come in to play at some point.
Here you can get a basic idea of what each artist page looks like. I haven’t done much with my profile yet, but I’ll spruce it up a bit as soon as I have a few free moments to do so. Check it out and let me know what you think.
A lot of my favorite artist’s videos are nowhere to be seen, but I think they will eventually start showing up over time. With the networking capabilities that PluggedIn offers, I believe the site will easily become a success for just about anyone who enjoys music videos.
