Listen up all you crazy fast food eaters. If you go to McDonald’s tomorrow (May 15, 2008), and you buy a medium or large drink, you’ll receive a free Southern Style Chicken Sandwich, or a free Southern Style Chicken Biscuit. Which one you get for free will depend on what time of the day you go. The Southern Style chicken items are new on the menu for Mickey D’s, and they will have the biscuit on the breakfast menu, and the sandwich on the regular menu. It’s not a complete freebie, but it’s worth it if you are looking to save a few bucks.

The Southern style chicken items sound pretty good actually, and of course they do extremely well in the South. The sandwich is basically chicken, on a plain bun, with a couple pickles and some butter. I don’t know if this will appeal to everyone, but it sounds good to me. I don’t go to McDonald’s often, but I’m always up for trying new things. The Southern Style Chicken Biscuit is simply the chicken on a buttered biscuit. I think people who visit McDonald’s on a daily basis will probably like the extra item on the menu, and chicken items do sell quite well for McDonald’s.

Before you go crazy grabbing Scooby Doo Chia Pet to start eating it for an afternoon snack, be forewarned that you really shouldn’t be eating the chia seeds that come with your chia pet. I know, it sounds like fun, but the only chia seeds that are supposed to be good for you are organic chia seeds.

I almost began to laugh when I first read about this story, because there wasn’t really much emphasis put on the fact that people shouldn’t be eating the seeds that come with your chia-pets from Walgreens or whatever. The news stories floating around out there basically said “eat chia seeds, for they are good!”.. or something like that.

So I must admit, there are a few food items I never get sick of at T.G.I. Fridays.  Granted, they aren’t the best in the world, but for they are incredibly good for the price.  I recently received a free appetizer coupon for T.G.I. Fridays, which was awesome.. The Fried Mac n Cheese things are the best.  It’s not hard to get the coupon, if you want your free appetizer just answer a few questions at their site and they are happy to send you one.  And here’s a brilliant plan, have your friends get a coupon too, then tag along when they use it.  Nothin’ better than free treats!!

Of course it was a must that I ordered the Sizzlin Chicken & Cheese.  So very tasty indeed.  You can make it at home too if you get the secret recipe.  It’s so worth it if you enjoy that dish, and I do.  It’s one I never get sick of..  yet at least.  That’s my food tip of the day!

Wow. Snow snow snow everywhere. I’m surprised at how many people still want to eat stuff that falls out of the sky. If you are one of these people, I have compiled a list of websites with snow cream recipes just for you.
